Gigi's Tavern Hosts 7-Course Wine Tasting Dinner with Acclaimed Chef George Telles
Wine Varieties from Around the World to be Spotlighted

BOCA RATON, Fla. (December 21, 2007)-Gigi's Tavern at Mizner Park in Boca Raton is hosting its first menu tasting event of 2008, a 7-Course wine dinner, on Tuesday, January 22. Presented by Gigi's new executive chef George Telles, formerly of the award-winning Black Orchid Café and the nationally renowned Plum Room, the menu features spectacular beef and seafood creations paired with exceptional wines from around the world. In between courses, a representative from Hess International Wines will explain each wine pairing selection.
The cost is $99 per person which includes the selected wine pairing with each course, as well as a champagne reception with hors d'oeuvres. Reception begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. prompt. Only one seating is available.

Beef Tartar, Smoked Salmon, Ostrich Meatballs, King Crab Dijon
Pairing: Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs, Napa Valley

Prince Edward Island Mussels, poached, chilled, served in a saffron garlic aioli

Second Course
Roasted Loin of Elk, with Lingonberry Sauce
Pairing: Artezin Zinfandel, Mendocino
Third Course
Pheasant Consomine en Croute, garnished with truffles and brunoise vegetables
Pairing: Peter Lehmann Shiraz, Australia
Fourth Course
Pan Seared Wellfleet Cod, in sauce Portugaise, sautéed onions, fresh chopped seeded tomato,
garlic, olive oil, anchovies, simmered with white wine.
Pairing: Glen Carlou Chardonnay, South Africa
Intermezzo
Tangerine Pomegranate Sorbet
Fifth Course
Roasted Short Loin of Western Buffalo, with a wild mushroom sauce, potato and assorted vegetables
Pairing: Hess Collection Mountain Cuvee, Napa Valley
Sixth Course
Mixed Greens, with Chef's signature raspberry vinaigrette
Seventh Course
Fresh Cheese, Fruit and Petit Fours
Pairing: Peter Lehman Semillon Botrytis, Australia
