All that glistened on Monday evening, December 4 at Tiffany’s Palm Beach Salon was not only gold, emeralds, sapphires and beautiful diamonds, but rare and one-of-a-kind pearls as well. Pearls – the power and splendor of these most rare and beautiful objects have played a key role in Tiffany & Co.’s rise to it’s role as one of America’s most preeminent jewelers and treasured brands.

Tiffany & Co., Design Director, John Loring, in his latest book Tiffany Pearls debuted the book at a special launch party at the Worth Avenue store on Monday in Palm Beach. Tiffany Regional Vice President, Jeffrey Bateman hosted the reception to honor Mr. Loring and a number of clients, guests and friends attended the evening in celebration of this insightfully researched, 304-page book, with 260 full-color illustrations including archival photographs, drawings and never-before published photographs.

Mr. Loring has been the Design Director of Tiffany & Co. since 1979. In addition, he writes on art and design and is the author of 18 previous books including Tiffany Diamonds, Tiffany’s Palm Beach, Tiffany Timepieces and Tiffany in Fashion. Her graduated from Yale University and has an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute.

Among those joining Mr. Bateman to launch the book and honor Mr. Loring were Janet Pleasants and Michael Reiter, Maggie and Alan Scherer, Maura and Bill Benjamin, Mary Cowan, Kathryn Vecellio, Eileen Ekstract and Isabelle Kellogg, Barbara Dixon, Joan and Kim Sargent and Frayda and George Lindeman.
