Cary and Liz are both founding members of the newly formed Friends of the Palm Beach International Film Festival. The group got a little taste of paradise as they converged upon Nick’s Fishmarket of Hawaii in Boca Raton for their Premiere Party. The group of “upwardly social” singles and couples had a great time sampling Hawaiian appetizers, sipping Maui Martinis and mingling around the tiki bar on the outdoor Lanai deck of the restaurant.

“We had a terrific crowd of people who were really enthusiastic about the fun events we have planned for our Friends,” said Randi Emerman, Executive Director of the Palm Beach International Film Festival. It was an extremely fun and lively crowd of young professionals!

We are looking forward to the next event on Thursday, January 11 from 6-8 p.m. at RA Sushi at Downtown at the Gardens, the stylishly edgy sushi bar and restaurant. If you have never experienced RA Sushi’s lively, hip atmosphere, this is a perfect opportunity to check us out for the first time. We will be partnering with Taishi, the Young Professionals of the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens for this fun-filled event. Tickets $10 pp. The World Famous Happy Hour includes $1.00 Sake, $5 Martini’s and $2.50 beer. The tantalizing fresh menu includes California Rolls, Pineapple Wontons, Shrimp Tempora, Sashimi, Salmon Nigiri and plenty on non-sushi items! There is no membership fee to join the Friends of the Film Festival.
